| वक्ष्येऽहं सर्वलोकानां हितार्थं हितकामदम् । अस्य श्री अङ्गारकमहामन्त्रस्य गौतम ऋषिः । अनुष्टुप्छन्दः । अङ्गारको देवता । मम ऋणविमोचनार्थे अङ्गारकमन्त्रजपे विनियोगः । |
Vakshyeham Sarvalokaanaam Hitaartham Hitakaamadam | O Asya Shree Angaaraka Stotra Mahaa Mantrasya | Gautama Rishih | Anushtup Chchhandah | Angaarako Devataa | Mama Rina Vimochanaarthe Jape Viniyogah | |
I shall now explain for the benefit and welfare of all beings the Angarakamahamantra, revealed by the sage Gautama. It is in the Anushtup meter and the deity of this mantra is Angarak. The application of this mantra is for the purpose of liberation from debt. |

| रक्तमाल्याम्बरधरः शूलशक्तिगदाधरः । चतुर्भुजो मेषगतो वरदश्च धरासुतः ॥ १॥ |
Rakta Maalyaambara Dharah Shoola Shakti Gadaadharah | Chaturbhujo Meshagato Varadashchadharaa Sutah || |
The one who wears a garland of red flowers, Holding a trident, a spear, and a mace, With four arms and mounted on a ram, He is the son of Dharā (the Earth) and the bestower of boons. |
| मङ्गलो भूमिपुत्रश्च ऋणहर्ता धनप्रदः । स्थिरासनो महाकायो सर्वकामफलप्रदः ॥ २॥ |
Mangalo Bhoomi Putrashcha Rinahartaa Kripaakarah | Dharaatmajah Kujo Baumo Bhoomijo Bhoomi Nandanah || |
Mangal, the son of Bhumi (the Earth), removes debts, grants wealth, He has a stable posture, a gigantic body, and fulfills all desires. |
| लोहितो लोहिताक्षश्च सामगानां कृपाकरः । धरात्मजः कुजो भौमो भूमिदो भूमिनन्दनः ॥ ३॥ |
Lohito lohitākṣaścha sāmagānāṁ kṛpākaraḥ.| Dhārātmajaḥ kujo bhaumo bhūmido bhūminandanaḥ|| |
Lohit, the one with red eyes, the bestower of grace upon those who sing Sama Veda, The son of Dharā (the Earth), Kuj (Mars), Bhaum (the planet Mars), the delighter of the Earth. |
| अङ्गारको यमश्चैव सर्वरोगापहारकः । सृष्टेः कर्ता च हर्ता च सर्वदेशैश्च पूजितः ॥ ४॥ |
Angaarako Yamashchaiva Sarva Rogaapahaarakah | Srashtaa Kartaacha Hartaacha Sarvadevaishcha Poojitah || |
Aṅgāraka (Mars) and Yama, the remover of all diseases, The creator and destroyer of existence, worshipped in all places. |
| एतानि कुजनामानि नित्यं यः प्रयतः पठेत् । ऋणं न जायते तस्य श्रियं प्राप्नोत्यसंशयः ॥ ५॥ |
Etaani Kuja Naamaani Nityam Yah Prayatah Pathet | Rinam Najaayate Tasya Dhanam Praapnotyasamshayah || |
Whoever reads these names of Mars (Kuja) regularly with devotion Does not incur debts and undoubtedly attains prosperity. |
| अङ्गारक महीपुत्र भगवन् भक्तवत्सल । नमोऽस्तु ते ममाशेषं ऋणमाशु विनाशय ॥ ६॥ |
Angaaraka Maheeputra Bhagavan Bhaktavatsala | Namostute Mamaashesha Rinamaashu Vimochaya || |
O Mars (Aṅgāraka), the son of the Earth, divine and compassionate, I bow to you, destroy all my remaining debts instantly. |
| रक्तगन्धैश्च पुष्पैश्च धूपदीपैर्गुडोदनैः । मङ्गलं पूजयित्वा तु मङ्गलाहनि सर्वदा ॥ ७॥ |
Rakta Gandhaishcha Pushpaishcha Dhoopa Deepai Rgudodanaih | Mangalam Poojayitvaatu Mangalaahani Sarvadaa || |
By offering red-scented flowers, incense, lamps, and offering jaggery, Mangal (Mars) is worshipped, and all inauspiciousness is removed. |
| एकविंशति नामानि पठित्वा तु तदन्तिके । ऋणरेखा प्रकर्तव्या अङ्गारेण तदग्रतः ॥ ८॥ |
Eka Vimshati Naamaani Pathitvaatu Tadantike | Rinarekhaah Prakartavyaa Angaarena Tadagratah || |
After reciting these twenty-one names near (Aṅgāra), A line representing the debt should be drawn in front with a piece of burning charcoal. |
| ताश्च प्रमार्जयेन्नित्यं वामपादेन संस्मरन् । एवं कृते न सन्देहः ऋणान्मुक्तः सुखी भवेत् ॥ ९॥ |
Tāścha pramārjayan nityam vāmapādena saṁsmaran.| Evam kṛte na sandehaḥ rnānmuktaḥ sukhī bhavet.|| |
One should daily purify these lines by remembering with the left foot, By doing so, there will be no doubt, and one will be free from debts and become happy. |
| महतीं श्रियमाप्नोति धनदेन समो भवेत् । भूमिं च लभते विद्वान् पुत्रानायुश्च विन्दति ॥ १०॥ |
Mahatīṁ śriyamāpnoti dhanadena samo bhavet.| Bhūmiṁ cha labhate vidvān putrānāyuścha vindati.|| |
The knowledgeable one attains great wealth, equal to the god of wealth, Obtains land and longevity and begets children. |

| अङ्गारक महीपुत्र भगवन् भक्तवत्सल । नमस्तेऽस्तु महाभाग ऋणमाशु विनाशय ॥ ११॥ |
Angaaraka Mahee Putra Bhagavan Bhakta Vatsala | Namostu Te Mamaashesha Rinamaashu Vimochaya || |
O Mars, the son of the Earth, O Divine One, Who is affectionate towards devotees, I offer my respectful salutations to you, O greatly fortunate one, please eradicate my debts immediately. |
| अर्घ्यम् । भूमिपुत्र महातेजः स्वेदोद्भव पिनाकिनः । ऋणार्थस्त्वां प्रपन्नोऽस्मि गृहाणार्घ्यं नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ १२॥ |
Bhoomi Putra Mahaa Teja Ssvedodbhava Pinaakinah | Rinaartastvaam Prapannosmi Grihaanaarghyam Namostute || |
Arghyam (Offering of water). O son of the Earth, O greatly radiant one, born from sweat, O bearer of the Pinaka (Lord Shiva’s bow), I, who am seeking relief from debts, surrender to you, Please accept this offering of water, my salutations to you. |
