I salute Sun, who is red like a Hibiscus, the descendant of Kaashyapa, Foe of darkness and has splendid radiance and the one who dispels all sins. |

Dadhi Shankha tushaa-raabham Khseero Darnava Sambhavam Namaami Shashinam Somam Shambhor Mukuta Bhooshanam. |
The one who has the hue of curd and icebergs, who rose from Ksheasagar and who adorns the head of Shiva. I prostrate to the Moon, the ruling deity of the soma juice. |

Dharanee garbha sambhootam ,Vidyut Kaanti Sama-prabham Kumaram Shakti Hastam ,Tham Mangalaam Pranamamyamaham. |
I pray to Mars, born of Earth, His effulgence is like that of lightning. He is called Kumara and who holds in his hand weapon called Shakti. |

प्रियङ्गुकलिकाश्यामं रूपेणाप्रतिमं बुधम् । सौम्यं सौम्यगुणोपेतं तं बुधं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ४॥ |
Priyangukalika Shyaamam , RoopenaaPratimam Budham Soumyam Soumya Guno Petham Tam Budham Pranamamyamham. |
I pray to Mercury, who has a dark blue complexion and whose beauty is unmatched. Mercury possesses gentle and charming characteristics. |

I pray to Venus, the son of Bhagu. Venus is the spiritual master of asuras, promulgator of all learning, he who shines like the fiber of snow-white jasmine. |

Lord Shani is the one who is dark blue in complexion, who is the son of Lord Surya and his wife Chaya, who is the elder brother of Yama. The slow moving, I prostrate that Shaneeswara. |

अर्धकायं महावीर्यं चन्द्रादित्यविमर्दनम् । सिंहिकागर्भसंभूतं तं राहुं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ८॥ |
Ardha Kaayam Mahaa Veeryam Chandra- Aditya Vimardanam Simhika Garbha Sambhootam Tam Rahum Pranamaamyaham. |
I pray to Lord Rahu, the son of Simhika, having half a body, of exceptional strength and is the eclipser of the Moon and the Sun. |

पलाशपुष्पसंकाशं तारकाग्रहमस्तकम् । रौद्रं रौद्रात्मकं घोरं तं केतुं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ९॥ |
Palaasha Pushpa Sankaasham Tarakaa Graha Mastakam Roudram Roudraa-tmakam Ghoram Tam Ketum Pranamaamya-ham. |
I pray to Lord Ketu, who has the appearance of Palaasha flower, the head of planets and stars. Lord Ketu is fearsome and violent. |

इति व्यासमुखोद्गीतं यः पठेत्सुसमाहितः । दिवा वा यदि वा रात्रौ विघ्नशान्तिर्भविष्यति ॥ १०॥ |
Ithi Vyasa mukhod-geetam yah pathet-susamahitaha Divaa va yadi va ratrau vighna santir bhavishyathi |
Reciting this stotram written by Vyasa will give the sovereign and makes them powerful. Also, they will succeed in the obstacles or troubles that occur either during the daytime or the night. |
नरनारीनृपाणां च भवेद्दुःस्वप्ननाशनम् । ऐश्वर्यमतुलं तेषामारोग्यं पुष्टिवर्धनम् ॥ |
Naranaaree nrupanam cha bhavedduhu Swapna nasanam Aishwarya matulam teshamarogyam pushtivardhanam |
Also for the ones who chant this stotram either the Men, women or the kings will be saved from the effects of the bad dreams.Those will also be granted with unparalleled wealth, good health, and nourishment. |

ग्रहनक्षत्रजाः पीडास्तस्कराग्निसमुद्भवाः । ताः सर्वाः प्रशमं यान्ति व्यासो ब्रूते न संशयः ॥ |
Graha-nakshatrajaha peedah taskaraagni samudbhavaha Taah sarwaaha prasamam yamti vyaso brute na samsayaha |
Those who chant will also be saved from the troubles caused by planets and the stars and also from the troubles of thieves or fire. There should be no doubt (Samsaya) about these entire words of the Vyasa. |

॥ इति श्रीव्यासविरचितं नवग्रहस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ॥ | Ithi Shri Vyasa virachitham Navagraha stotram sampoornam | Thus, ends the Navagraha Stotram (Hymns of praise to the Navagrahas) composed by Shri Vyasa. |
